Understand the calculation
Useful for calculating attendance as a simple percentage when you know attended and total sessions.
PercentWise performs the arithmetic directly in your browser and shows a readable result without sending the numbers you enter to a server. The formula above is the core relationship used for this calculator.
92% attendance
90% attendance
Attendance percentage step by step
First count the sessions attended, then count the total sessions offered. Divide attended by total and multiply by 100. For example, attending 46 of 50 sessions gives 46 ÷ 50 × 100 = 92%. Four sessions were missed.
The numerator and denominator must cover the same period. If you have only attended 18 of 20 sessions so far, your current attendance is 90%; it may change as additional sessions take place. School, workplace and course attendance policies may use their own rules.
Using the result
Check that the values you enter use the same units and that the reference value matches the question you are trying to answer. Different percentage formulas can look similar while using different denominators, so choosing the right calculator matters.
